Run Windows Update on Windows XP
For updating your Windows XP, you will need to find Windows Update using your Start screen.
Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, then tap Search.
If you’re using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, then click Search.
Enter “Windows Update” in the search box, tap or click Settings, and then tap or click Install optional updates.
Click Restart Now to finish installing the updates.
Attention: Windows XP has been discontinued by Microsoft. The official support for Windows XP ended on April 8, 2014. This means that Microsoft no longer releases security updates or provides technical assistance for Windows XP. It is strongly recommended to upgrade to a newer, supported operating system to ensure the security and compatibility of your computer.
